The following are the terms and policies of Degu Press™ (run by DeguArts™). By making a purchase online or in-person, you are agreeing to these terms.

Use of Artwork

  1. You are not allowed to use or reproduce these works in any way without prior permission or written contract from the copyright holder. This includes personal, for-profit, removing signatures/watermarks, reposting/sharing without credit, non-fungible tokens (NFT), AI (training or otherwise), or any other medium.
  2. Purchasing a product listed on DeguPress.org does not grant any rights to the work.

Books

  1. Degu Press authors retain the copyright to their manuscripts, artwork, and books, and will always receive credit and retain ownership of their work.
  2. We will provide ISBNs as necessary for each book under our imprint, along with helping with file setup and distribution.
  3. If you are a teacher, librarian, or daycare provider, we are happy to donate books to you! Contact us with proof of your employment and we can ship to you for free within the US!

Games

  1. Degu Press game designers retain the copyright to their games, art, content, and mechanics, and will always receive credit and retain ownership of their work.
  2. We can help with file setup and distribution.

Shop

  1. Platforms:
    • Shopify (eBooks, Audiobooks)
    • Blurb or IngramSpark (Print Books)
    • The Game Crafter (Games)
    • Other Third-Party Sellers
  2. eBooks:
    1. If you order an eBook through us via Shopify, an EPUB file download link will be delivered to the email address you entered during checkout. Due to the digital nature of the files, we cannot offer refunds for orders through Shopify. These files are for personal use only and should not be shared or distributed outside of your household.
    2. If you order an eBook through a third-party party bookseller (such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.), they will specify the file type you will receive. Returns and other support must be done through their services.
  3. Audiobooks:
    1. If you order an audiobook through us via Shopify, an MP3 file download link will be delivered to the email address you entered during checkout. Due to the digital nature of the files, we cannot offer refunds for orders through Shopify. These files are for personal use only and should not be shared or distributed outside of your household.
    2. If you order an audiobook through a third-party party bookseller (such as Audible, Libro.fm, etc.), returns and other support must be done through their services.
  4. Print Books:
    1. If you order a print book through us via Blurb or IngramSpark, you will receive the print book in your selected format to your address. As they handle these orders, returns and other support must be done through their services.
    2. If you order a print book through a third-party party bookseller (such as Bookshop.org, Amazon, etc.), returns and other support must be done through their services.
  5. Games:
    1. If you order a game through us via The Game Crafter, you will receive the game in your selected format to your address. As they handle these orders, returns and other support must be done through their services.
    2. "Print-and-Play" files are for personal use only and should not be shared or distributed outside of your household.

  1. Degu Press strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities. We have tried to help ensure that our website and in-person booths are made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.

Privacy Policy

  1. Information Collected:
    1. When you place an order or contact us, we may collect your: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, and items you have purchased. We do not see or store your full credit card number. Payments are handled by secure third-party processors. Third-party shops may have different policies.
    2. If you order through a third-party party site, we cannot view detailed order information.
    3. When you visit the site, basic technical data may also be collected, such as: your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited. This helps keep the site working and lets us understand what people are viewing.
  2. Information Usage:
    1. Your information is used only to: process and ship your orders, send order updates and support replies, receive email newsletters if you opted-in, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve the website. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
    2. This site uses Cloudflare (security and site performance). These services may collect limited technical data (like IP address or browser type) to do their job.
  3. Cookies:
    1. This site uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser. However, disabling some cookies may break some areas of the website.
